I love being a part of a student body that is supportive to every student and their interests on this campus - and my team is especially great for this.

Dr. Incorvati of the English department.

What is one piece of advice you would like to leave for the underclassmen or any recruits looking to become a part of your team in the future?

Have faith in the process - sometimes you might have doubts about what you're doing, but if you work hard and listen to your coaches, you'll have an amazing season.

Name: Madison Nadler

Hometown: Jackson, Ohio

What is your favorite/best memory as a student-athlete at Wittenberg?

I have so many great memories that it's hard to choose. Many of my favorites include the other mid-distances runners who have run the past four years. We've had warm, sunny days where we just take a slow run and enjoy being with each other outside. Other times we have really tough workouts, but at the end we can look at each other and smile because we survived. No matter what our day held, we were there pushing each other to do better and just enjoying the company.

What do you love most about being a Wittenberg Tiger?

I love the sense of community I feel every time I walk on campus. I can tell there is a sense of pride in being one big community and everyone looks out for each other.

Outside of Athletics, who is the one campus staff or faculty member that had the most impact on you during your time at Wittenberg?

This is a hard question for me to answer because there are so many people who have impacted me while at Wittenberg. My advisor, Dr. Phillips, has helped me a great deal throughout my time at Wittenberg. His help and advice in the scientific field, especially in ecology and wildlife, will guide me in my future career. Dr. Goodman was my professor freshman year for my intro biology lab, the professor with me on my study abroad trip to Costa Rica and is wrapping up my college career as my capstone professor. She has always been very helpful, and I have enjoyed being in her classes my entire time at Wittenberg.

What is one piece of advice you would like to leave for the underclassmen or any recruits looking to become a part of your team in the future?

Being part of a Wittenberg team means you gain a second family. You get to meet so many new people and you'll look back on all those memories with a smile on your face. Never forget that your team has your back through thick and thin, no matter where you are. Always cherish and that and never forget it.

Why should a High School Prospect choose Wittenberg?

Wittenberg will be your home away from home. The professors care about you as an individual and will help you succeed in your career. Despite being a smaller school, there are all kinds of opportunities, from cool clubs to attending national conferences, that you won't necessarily be able to get at a larger school. Wittenberg will always be there for you and you won't regret your decision to become a Tiger.

Being part of a team who supports each other like family.

What is one piece of advice you would like to leave for the underclassmen or any recruits looking to become a part of your team in the future?

Success doesn't always show itself in the form of awards and trophies. Sometimes success is bettering yourself. You're constantly competing against your own ability.
