Tigers Head Into Late Season With DePauw Invite

GREENCASTLE, Ind. - Wittenberg faces the home stretch upcoming as the look to sharpen their skills heading towards the NCAC Championships. They strengthened their profile with another strong effort in a trip to DePauw. The men took sixth place while the women scored an eighth place finish to the meet. 

The throws department continued their progess with marks from sophomore Nic Radel (Columbus, Ohio/Grandview Hts.) in the shot put with a throw of 12.95 meters. Junior Mat Guida (LaGrange, Ky./Oldham County) added a spin of 45.98 meters in the hammer throw.

The best high jump effort of the season came for freshman Evianne van de Zande (Zierikzee, The Netherlands) with a height of 1.58 meters. Catherine Kuerbitz (Cleveland, Ohio/Regina) added a 1:00.26 in the 400-meter dash to help the Tiger cause.

The All-Ohio Championships are next on the horizon Saturday, April 11, from Delaware, Ohio.
