Jim Smith joined the Tiger coaching staff in 2004 as the head diving coach.

Smith brings several years of diving experience to the team after coaching several club athletes to individual and team success. He was also an accomplished participant in the sport with two state championships and one runner-up title in his AAU diving career.

At Wittenberg, Smith guided Courtney Roth to NCAC Diver of the Year honors in 2006 and 2007, and he also guided 2004 NCAC Diver of the Year Cody Nicely and Megan Shubitowski to all-conference honors in 2005 and 2008 respectively. He was named NCAC Men's Diving Coach of the Year in 2008.

Smith resides in Springfield and is the owner of At Your Service Remodeling, Inc.
