Tigers Breeze By Oberlin

Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg women's soccer team breezed by the Oberlin College Yeowomen on Saturday afternoon, picking up the 3-0 win from Edwards-Maurer Field. The Red and White jumped out to an early lead, holding a 2-0 advantage over Oberlin at the break. Wittenberg tallied nine shots in the first half, pressuring the Oberlin goal with 14 shots on the day. Kaitlyn Krieg got the Tiger scoring effort started in the 25th minute of action, capitalizing off of the Maria Miller assist. Alix Steele put Wittenberg ahead 2-0 before the half, finishing the pass from Grace Nation in the 36th minute. Jasmine Evans capped of the Tiger scoring effort in the 72nd minute, finding the back of the Oberlin net and giving Wittenberg win.  

Wittenberg earned their fourth shutout of the season, as the Red and White did not allow an Oberlin shot in the game.

Wittenberg will return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 15 traveling to DePauw for a 7:00 PM showdown.
