Six Tigers earn CSC Women’s At-Large Academic All-District honors

SPRINGFIELD — Wittenberg seniors Jessica Flick (Lebanon, Ohio/Lebanon) and Zoe Chirumbolo McKee (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills), junior Sidney Sheridan (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Hartley) and sophomores Hillary Humbaugh (Haubstadt, Ind./Gibson Southern), Izzy Selby (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) and Anna Roller (New Albany, Ohio/Bishop Watterson) were named to the College Sports Communicators NCAA Division III Women's At-Large Academic All-District Team for the 2023-24 season, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletics and in the classroom. To earn CSC Academic All-District distinction, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in class standing with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 while competing in at least 90% or starting in at least 66% of their team's contests. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First, Second and Third Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on July 16.

Of the women's sports offered at Wittenberg, CSC's at-large category includes bowling, field hockey, golf and lacrosse.

Flick, Chirumbolo McKee, Sheridan and Roller were members of the women's lacrosse team, and Humbaugh and Selby played for the women's golf team during the 2023-24 season.

Flick, Chirumbolo McKee, Roller and Humbaugh all boasted a cumulative 4.00 GPA at the end of the 2023-24 academic year, while Selby (3.92) and Sheridan (3.75) weren't far behind.

Flick, an education major, led the women's lacrosse team in points (79), goals (66) and assists (13) in 2024 en route to being named to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference Second Team. She earned NCAC Athlete of the Week recognition on Feb. 27 and closed the year leading the NCAC in goals per game and points per game. She posted 13 hat tricks in starting all 16 games while adding 15 ground balls, 10 caused turnovers and 17 draw controls.

A two-time All-NCAC honoree, Flick started all 57 games she played at Wittenberg, totaling 179 points on 152 goals and 27 assists with 29 hat tricks. She ranks fifth in program history in goals and is tied for seventh all-time in points while adding 64 ground balls, 26 caused turnovers and 47 draw controls.

Chirumbolo McKee, a biology major, was named to the All-NCAC Third Team this season after starting all 16 games and leading the team in caused turnovers (33) and ground balls (43). She ranked second in the NCAC in caused turnovers per game and fourth in ground balls per game.

Chirumbolo McKee started 48 of her 49 career games at Wittenberg and has 73 caused turnovers and 106 ground balls to go with one goal and 59 draw controls. She ranks sixth all-time at Wittenberg in caused turnovers.

Roller put together an impressive sophomore campaign in 2024. She started all 16 games and led the team with 70 draw controls. She recorded eight hat tricks and ranked second on the team in points (55), goals (46) and assists (9) and third in ground balls (38) while adding 16 caused turnovers.

Sheridan, an accounting major, was named to the All-NCAC Second Team in 2024 after playing in 15 games with seven starts as one of the Tigers' two primary goalkeepers. She led the team in goalie minutes (454:26) and saves (112) while posting a 13.86 GAA and .516 save percentage. She ranked fourth in the NCAC in saves per game.

Sheridan has played in 47 games with 25 starts at Wittenberg and has 334 career saves with a 14.77 GAA and .475 save percentage. She ranks sixth in program history in career saves.

Humbaugh, a mathematics and computer science major, capped her 2023-24 season with a team-best sixth-place finish in the 24-woman field at the NCAC Championships to earn All-NCAC Second Team recognition. An All-NCAC Third Team performer at the 2023 NCAC Championships, Humbaugh led the Tigers with a 78.49-stroke average in 10 events this season while recording eight top-10 finishes, including runner-up showings at the Heidelberg Fall Invitational, Kuhn Memorial Invitational and Franklin Lady Grizzly Spring Invitational.

Selby, a marketing and finance major, earned All-NCAC Third Team recognition this year, tying for 13th place at the 2024 NCAC Championships. An All-NCAC Second Team performer a year ago, Selby ranked second on the team with an 80.68-stroke average in 10 events this season and recorded four top-10 finishes, including tying Humbaugh for second at the Kuhn Memorial Invitational.
