Post-Game Quotes

  • Head coach Becca Joseph on the win: "In the three years I've been here, this is the first time we've started the season with a win, and it really sets the tone for the season. Muskingum is a tough team and good competition, and being able to get a decent-sized win against them is a good way to get the adrenaline going as we continue the rest of our non-conference schedule."
  • Joseph on her team's offense: "We put in a new offense this past week, and it was interesting to see how it worked out. We started a little slow in the first half, but it was cool in the second half to see how we were feeding the ball more and getting more assists. Our biggest issue last year was that we weren't able to score, so it was good to see that change."
  • Senior Jessica Flick on the team's performance: "The team worked really well together, which helped us do big things. We're looking towards success, and we're going to keep getting better and better throughout the season."
  • Flick on playing indoors: "I think it's more difficult playing inside because the restraining lines are different, and it's just a different kind of environment. But it's nicer becuase we can hear each other and hype each other up and get our energy up throughout the game."
