Lexington, KY- Wittenberg headed south to Kentucky to take on the Pioneers of Transylvania. A familiar match-up for the Tigers who saw a fierce Pioneer team in 2021 would result in another tough opponent this time around. Wittenberg was unable to stop Transylvania on the defensive side and fell with a 14-4 score.

Highlights- Wittenberg goals were scored by Katie Wadds, Jessica Flick, Maren Raymond, and Grace Hehman. Hehman was assisted by Wadds to start the first quarter. Wadds came back later in the first with her own goal, assisted by Flick. Flick then continued the pattern, scoring her goal in the second quarter to give the Tigers their third point of the game. Maren Raymond would score on a free position shot and man-up opportunity for the Red & White to take a final score of 14-4, falling to the Pioneers.

In goal for the Tigers was Sidney Sheridan who saw 35 shots, saving 21 of those. Defensively, Katie Wadds had an outstanding eight caused turnovers with four ground balls.

Up Next: The Tigers will be back in action on April 8th as they take on Denison in their conference opener. Game time is set for 1:00 PM at Denison.
