Wittenberg Women’s Golf Takes Second at Home Invite

Springfield, OH-The Women's Golf team competed in their home invitational at the Springfield Country Club and finished second out of 9 total teams. 

As a team, Wittenberg shot a first round 326 (+38) and a second round 322 (+34) for a total of 648 (+72) to finish 9 strokes behind first place Wooster. 

Finishing first for the Tigers and tied for 5th overall was Halley McNair. She carded a first round 83 (+11) and a second round 77 (+5) for a total of 160 (+16). 

Hilary Humbaugh was second for the Tigers and tied for 8th in the tournament, shooting a first round 82 (+10) and a second round 80 (+8) for a total of 162 (+18). 

Izzy Selbe and Ellen Frame both finished tied for third on the team and 10th overall, both at 19-over. Selbe carded a first round 82 (+10) and a second round 81 (+9) for a total of 163 (+19), while Frame shot a 79 (+7) in the first and an 84 (+12) in the second to finish at 163 (+19). 

Rounding out the field for the Tigers was Anna Longbrake, who finished 35th. In the first round, she shot a 97 (+25) and improved to a 93 (+21) in the second round to finish with a 190 (+46).
