Tigers Take On Big Red

Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg University women's golf team returned to action over the weekend, traveling to Granville for a tri-match with the Big Red and the Fighting Scots from the College of Wooster. The Tigers returned to Springfield Country Club on an overcast Sunday afternoon for a dual match with the Big Red. The Tigers finished second in the tri-match on Saturday afternoon from the 5800-yard Par 71, Denison Golf Club. Wittenberg carded a 358 (+74) as a team, falling to host Denison posting a winning score of 325 (+41). The Tigers edged out the Fighting Scots by ten shots at the end of the day, as Wooster tallied a 368 (+84).

Jordan Jarrett posted the low round for the Tigers on Saturday, carding an 18-hole 82 (+11), finishing in a tie for third. Ellen Frame tallied an 84 (+13) through 18-holes, earning a fifth-place finish. Erin Adams finished in a T-8 position to start the weekend, posting a 90 (+19).

The Tigers returned to action on Sunday, hosting the Big Red from Springfield Country Club posting a final round score of 349 (+61). Wittenberg was led by Frame, posting an 82 (+10) for a third-place finish. Adams was on the heels of Frame, finishing in fourth place with an 83 (+11) on the day. Jarrett added an eighth-place finish, bringing in a one-round score of 88 (+16). Morgan Pagel cracked the top 10 on Sunday, posting a 96 (+24) for a ninth-place finish.

Wittenberg will travel back to Denison on Saturday, April 3 taking on the Big Red from the Denison Golf Club.
