ADA, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers' slog through the rain, wind and cold of an early spring Saturday in northern Ohio paid off in the form of another solid team score as the Tigers finished sixth among 14 "A" Teams in the Ohio Northern Lady Polar Bear Invitational.

The Tigers posted a relatively pedestrian score of 395, but that tells only part of the story on this day. With temperatures hovering in the high 30s and rain coming down sideways at times thanks to high winds, the rest of the field - including three nationally ranked teams - was also held in check for the most part.

Wittenberg was led by junior Jennifer Petro (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart), who carded a 91 to finish 13th. Freshman Anna Bencriscutto (Oro Valley, Ariz./Ironwood Ridge), sophomore Kimberleigh McClure (Dublin, Ohio/Scioto)and sophomore Kristina Herman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) added top-50 finishes.

The tournament was shortened to one day due to a weather forecast for Saturday and Sunday that included more rain and even colder temperatures.
