The Wittenberg Tigers have a combination of youthful optimism and veteran experience on the 2005-06 roster, which features two seniors and three freshmen.

Head Coach Pat Clouse hopes to mold this group into a winner after several promising performances during the fall campaign.

The Tigers may have two seniors on the roster, but the scoring leader throughout the fall season was freshman Jenny Petro (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart). She posted five rounds under 92 in the fall, including an 84 at Muskingum, which was good for second place in that one-day competition. Petro's 84 is the program's best score since it emerged as a varsity team in 2003, and her 89.6 scoring average in five fall tournaments is on pace to establish a new season standard for the program.

Senior Callie Riley (Orlando, Fla./Winter Park) got off to the best start of her career during the fall season, finishing the five-tournament gauntlet with a scoring average of 98.6 after topping the squad with a 99.6 mark a year ago.

Senior Ann Delaney (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Buffalo Grove) finished the 2004-05 season with a solid 100.6 scoring average, including a career-best 91 in the season-ending Wittenberg Invitational. In the fall, Delaney had the exact same scoring average after a series of tremendously consistent performances - her high score in the fall was 102 and her low was 99.

The Tigers have two additional players filling the fourth and fifth spots each week. Freshmen Ashley Myers (Lancaster, Ohio/Lancaster) and Colleen Stephens (Lexington, Ky./Dunbar) both showed flashes of potential in the fall, and with a full year of collegiate golf under their belt both could prove to be key contributors to the top of the lineup in the future.
