Marietta, Ohio – Wittenberg women's basketball returned to action on Saturday evening from the Marietta College Turkey Shoot, falling to the Carnegie Mellon Tartans 73-53 in the first game of the weekend doubleheader. The Tigers were led by Hannah Weaver on the evening with a career-high 18 points, scoring 10 points in the first half coming off the bench. Wittenberg was held to just 28.8 percent shooting from the field on the night while converting on just 4 of 18 attempts from beyond the arc. Going into the break down 37-20, Wittenberg managed to open the second half forcing the Tartans to shoot just 35% from the field in the third quarter. Haley Dannemiller pulled down eight rebounds for the Tigers on the evening, with five boards coming off the offensive glass.
