Tigers Split NCAC Series At Wooster

Wooster, OH – The Wittenberg Tiger Softball team split their NCAC road series at the College of Wooster. Wittenberg took game one with a decisive, 10-2, win in six innings. Battling in game two, the Tigers fell 4-1 to the Fighting Scots.

Wittenberg tallied 11 hits in the first game, scoring runs in every in on their way to their fifth NCAC win of the season. The Tigers added five hits in the second game of the doubleheader, scoring their lone run in the seventh inning.

Diana Quevedo posted a 3 for 4 effort in game one with two doubles and a triple, driving in two runs. Quevedo added her fourth hit of the day in the second game against the Scots. Hannah Weymouth went 3 for 3 in the series opener, adding three runs scored.

Julia Burch and Hanna Ecker each added a pair of hits for the Tigers. Burch drove in one Wittenberg run and Ecker tallied three Tiger RBI.

Julie Hall secured the win from the circle with 4.1 innings pitched. Hall fanned one Wooster hitter in the opener with nine hits allowed. Lilly James tallied her third save of the season, closing out the final two innings, without a hit allowed and striking out two.
