Wittenberg senior Conor Kolka (Dexter, MI/Dexter) stormed to victory at the Calvin Knight Invite this past weekend. Kolka ran away with the individual title, winning by 14.3 seconds in 25:20.0. The Wittenberg senior beat several Great Lakes Region foes, including eventual runner-up Luke Witvliet of Calvin. What makes that interesting? Kolka and Witvliet finished fourth and fifth, respectively, at the Great Lakes Region Championships last year. This is the first time in program history that an athlete from Wittenberg has been named M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week during the cross country season.
