CLEVELAND, OH - Wittenberg's men's cross country team finished second at the 2024 North Coast Atlantic Conference (NCAC) Championships on Sunday, Nov. 3, at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Indiana, just 10 points behind Oberlin for the team title. It was the program's best performance since winning the title in 1996.
Individually, five Tigers earned All-NCAC honors. Senior Conor Kolka (Dexter, MI/Dexter) placed fourth to become a rare four-time first-team All-NCAC honoree, and Lukas Rieben (Clayton, OH/Northmont) made his All-NCAC debut, placing sixth to join Kolka on the first team.
Freshman Brandon Anderson (Dexter, MI/Dexter) excelled in his first NCAC championship meet, as he was named the 2024 NCAC Newcomer of the Year and second-team All-NCAC after securing an eighth-place finish. Anderson is Wittenberg's first-ever NCAC Men's Cross Country Newcomer of the Year. Junior Lucas Eisele (Dayton, OH/West Carrollton) also picked up second-team All-NCAC honors with a 13th-place finish.
Rounding things out, senior Adam Arndt (Connersville, IN/Connersville) earned third-team All-NCAC honors with a 20th-place finish.
