MCVL Defensive Player of the Week (April 8) - Jake Downs, Wittenberg
Junior libero Jake Downs (Cincinnati, OH / Milford) picked up his second Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) Player of the Week award of the 2025 season. Also the Defensive Player of the Week on February 11, Downs was a repeat winner after spearheading the Tigers' defense in a pair of victories last week. In seven sets against Calvin (3-0 win) and Trine (3-1 win), Downs recorded 28 digs to break Wittenberg's season digs record of 227. Downs has 234 digs on the 2025 season, and he now sits just 40 digs away from the program's career record.
