Springfield, Ohio – The Wittenberg men's volleyball team hosted the Griffins of Fontbonne University and the Terriers of Hiram College from Emmanuel Christian Academy. The Tigers dropped the first match of the day, falling to the Fontbonne 3-0 [25-22, 25-15, 25-14]. Wittenberg converted for 31 kills on 110 attack attempts in the early match of the day. The Tigers would return to action, sweeping the Terriers of Hiram College in straight sets 3-0 [25-9, 25-16, 25-20]. The Tiger's bounced back to record a .289 attacking percentage in the second match, converting for 32 kills on 83 total attack attempts.

GAME ONE

Wittenberg collected 15 kills in the first set of the match, recording a .048 attacking percentage. Justin Luby tallied a team-high nine kills. Mason Moldovan and Ashton Sellers paced the Tiger offense with seven kills each. Moldovan finished with a .235 attacking percentage. Sellers added six digs and a service ace to his final line through the first game. Ross Russell recorded 26 of the 28 team assists, adding nine digs with two block assists. Troy Boucher tallied 12 digs.

GAME TWO

Wittenberg came out swinging in the second match, logging an attacking percentage of .289 in their straight-set victory over the Terriers. The Tigers collected a .304 attacking percentage, smashing nine kills on 23 attempts in the first set, allowing Hiram to score just nine points. Adding nine kills on 32 attack attempts in the second set with just one error. Wittenberg closed out the match swinging .321, putting down 14 kills on 28 attack attempts. Sellers and Deion Woodson led the Wittenberg attack with eight kills each. Sellers finished with a .462 attacking percentage, adding three service aces, a block assist, and four digs. Woodson would finish with a .333 attacking percentage, four service aces, seven digs and a block assist. Isaiah Brock was a presence above the net for the Tigers, recording five kills, three block assists and a solo block against the Terriers. Russell provided 24 of the 31 Wittenberg assists in the match.
