SPRINGFIELD, OH — Eight Wittenberg student-athletes earned NCAA Division III All-Great Lakes Region honors in men's and women's indoor track and field from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the organization announced on Wednesday, March 12.

The top five individuals in each event from each region on the year-end TFRRS Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top three relay teams.

Four Wittenberg women's indoor track and field student-athletes were honored with a total of five all-region accolades. Leading the way was freshman Izzy Henderson (East Liberty, OH / Benjamin Logan), who earned all-region in the pentathlon and the long jump. She finished the indoor season ranked third in the region in the pentathlon after scoring 3039 points at the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championships and fourth in the region in the long jump with a mark of 5.59 meters, which she recorded at the Ashland Invitational.

Henderson racked up NCAC Women's Indoor Field Events Athlete of the Year and NCAC Women’s Indoor Newcomer of the Year honors after she placed first in the long jump, second in the high jump, and third in the pentathlon. She also placed fourth in the 200 meters, fifth in the 60-meter hurdles, and seventh in the 60 meter to conclude the meet earning a whopping 37 points for the Tigers. She ranked in the top-50 nationally in multiple events, just missing out on qualifying for the NCAA Division III Championships in the long jump.

The other three Tiger women to earn all-region honors also picked up the same awards in 2024. A year after earning all-region in three different events, senior Meghan Frazier (Alliance, Ohio/Alliance) earned all-region status in the 400 meters. Her time of 57.18 seconds ranked second in the region, and it qualified Frazier for the NCAA Division III Championships for a second straight year.

Frazier, who won NCAC titles in the 60 meters, 200 meters, and as a member of the 4x400 meter relay a year ago en route to NCAC Sprinter/Hurdler of the Year honors, just missed all-region honors in the 60 meters. She ranked sixth in the event with a time of 7.77, just .01 off the time recorded by Katherine Dortmund of Ohio Wesleyan, who ranked fifth.

Seniors Julissa Williams (Lorain, Ohio/Lorain) and Taylor Weiss (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty) also repeated as all-region honorees in their best event, the high jump.

Both Williams and Weiss qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships a year ago in the high jump after ranking first and second, respectively, in the Great Lakes Region. In 2025, Weiss ranks second after recording a mark of 1.68 meters at the Gem City Invitational, hosted by Wittenberg. That mark also qualified Weiss for the NCAA Division III Championships for a second straight year. Williams ranked fifth in the event regionally after clearing 1.64 meters at the Polar Bear Final Qualifier.

Four Wittenberg men's indoor track and field student-athletes were honored with all-region accolades, each for the first time in their collegiate careers.

Two Tigers earned all-region in the 400 meters. Senior Cameron Elliott (Springfield, OH/Springfield) ranked fourth in the event with a time of 49.36 recorded at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational, and freshman Jack Kittle (Chagrin Falls, OH/Chagrin Falls) ranked third with a time of 49.08 at the NCAC Championships. Kittle racked up NCAC Men's Indoor Sprint/Hurdles Athlete of the Year and NCAC Men’s Indoor Newcomer of the Year honors after he placed second in the 200 meters and first in the 400 meters, and he ran the anchor leg of the 4x400-meter relay that also took first place. Kittle's times in the prelims of both the 200 and 400 broke NCAC records. Elliott earned All-NCAC with his second-place finish in the 400 meters and as a member of the winning 4x400-meter relay.

Senior Justin Norris (Middletown, OH/Middletown Christian) earned all-region after ranking fourth in the high jump with a mark of 2.04 meters recorded at the Tiffin University Robinson Family Open. Norris won the NCAC title in the event, and he ranked 22nd nationally in the event to narrowly miss out on a berth in the NCAA Division III Championships.

Rounding things out, junior Riley Payne (Hamilton, OH/Trenton Edgewood) claimed all-region by ranking fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a school record time of 8.22 that he recorded at the NCAC Championships.
