Gambier, Ohio – The Wittenberg University track and field team traveled to Kenyon College on Saturday afternoon for the Kenyon Spring Invitational. The women's team tallied 91 points taking fifth-place on the day, as the men's side collected 88 points for a fifth-place finish. Senior Tyler Gittins had the opportunity of competing at the Jesse Owens Classic from Ohio State University, racing against a variety of competitors from the division I, II, and III. Gittins took third-place in the 400m hurdles with a final time of 52.63, adding a top 20 finish in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.46. Where he currently rankings in the standing, Gittins sits at fourth in the nation in the 400m hurdles amongst DIII competitors. 

Alexis Gray would win the 400m dash stopping the clock at just over a minute at 1:00.13. Tiarra Avant earned a fourth-place finish with a final time of 27.39. Samantha Mitchell took fifth-place in the 100m dash, crossing the line at 13.12. Wittenberg would take back-to-back wins in the 100m and 400m hurdles, as Ryelee Clary took the win in the 100m in a time of 15.80. Taylor Barnhisel finished with the win in the 400m with a final time of 1:08.84. Kyla McGee crossed the line in the 3000m steeplechase in a time of 13:57.25. The 4x100m relay team of Clary, Avant, Mitchell and Alexis Johnson finished in the top spot with a final time of 49.87.

Anissa Dann would take third-place in the hammer-throw competition with a toss of 40.32m, Hannah Eley would add a fifth-place finish with a throw of 37.74 and Sydney Granito would come in the seventh spot with a throw of 33.79. Eley would add a seventh-place finish in the discus throw and an eighth-place finish in the shot put competition. Barnhisel would add a fifth-place finish in the high jump competition, clearing a height of 1.42m, along with a fourth-place finish in the javelin throw with a toss of 28.06m. Johnson would take fifth-place in the long jump competition, crossing a distance of 4.92m. Leah Hilley would take sixth-place in the javelin competition with a long toss of 24.00m.

Tyler Branton took fourth-place in the 100m dash with a final time of 11.32. Zach Guyer (11.63) and Brandon Johnson (11.64) would finish back-to-back in the sixth and seventh spots. Johnson would take fourth-place in the 200m dash in a final time of 23.19. Kenny Mayes finished in fifth-place in the 400m dash crossing the line in a time of 51.51. Kyle Farnbauch took second in the 110m hurdles stopping the clock at 15.78. Wittenberg would finish back-to-back in the 400m hurdles, as Farnbauch (58.35) and Garrin Bachinski (1:00.06) took second and third place. Sutton Jacobs took third-place in the 3000m steeplechase, crossing the line in a time of 11:49.06. Guyer would go on to take third-place in the long jump competition, clearing a distance of 6.27m. D'Anthony Dorsey took second-place in the shot put with a toss of 13.90m, while Jonathan Seay finished in fifth-place with a throw of 12.77m. Dorsey would add a third-place finish in the hammer throw competition with a throw of 48.01m. Seay would finish the discus throw in fourth-place with a toss of 35.86.
