Wittenberg Runs Up A Storm At Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Ohio — The Wittenberg Tiger men's and women's track and field teams blew up a cloud of dust with solid performances over the weekend at Wilmington. The men finished third and the women turned in a team finish of sixth. 

Leading the men to their team bronze was sophomore Adam Roberts (Springfield, Ohio/Shawnee) with first-place times in the 110-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles. Also supporting the team was sophomore Mat Guida (LaGrange, Ky./Oldham County) with a second-place finish in the discus, while junior Erik Larkin (Cincinnati, Ohio/Country Day) doubled-down on his day, turning in second-place finishes in the triple jump and long jump.

The women received highlight finishes from junior(East Liverpool, East Liverpool) and senior Allison Walker (Columbus, Ohio/Academy). McIlvain snagged second place in the 1500-meter run, and Walker matched with a silver in the hammer throw.
