Junior Ethan Libby named CSC Academic All-District in Men’s Tennis

SPRINGFIELD — Wittenberg junior Ethan Libby (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) was named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To earn CSC Academic All-District distinction, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in class standing with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 and must have been in the lineup for 70% of his team's matches that include a team score.

Libby, a psychology major, boasts a 3.95 GPA. A North Coast Athletic Conference Third Team honoree this season, he closed the year with a 9-31 overall record, including 4-15 in singles and 5-16 in doubles, and was named NCAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week on March 26. He played exclusively at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles and led the team in overall wins on the season.

Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First, second and third team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on June 5.
