Steen, Vincent, Wasky earn CSC Academic All-District honors in Men’s Swimming and Diving

SPRINGFIELD — Wittenberg sophomores Mason Steen (Leroy, Ohio/Riverside), Drew Vincent (Fleming, Ohio/Warren) and Jon Wasky (Kettering, Ohio/Fairmont) were named to the College Sports Communicators NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Academic All-District Team for the 2023-24 season, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. To earn CSC Academic All-District distinction, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in class standing with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 and must have competed in four competitions or finish in the top eight in an event at a conference meet.

Steen, who is undecided on a major, boasts a 3.71 GPA. He was a member of Wittenberg's 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay teams that placed seventh and eighth, respectively, at the 2024 North Coast Athletic Conference Championships. He also earned an NCAC Athlete of the Week honor this season, doing so on Dec. 12 after winning the 100 breast and 200 IM in a dual meet against Manchester.

Vincent, an exercise science major, boasts a 3.94 GPA. He joined Steen on the 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay teams at the NCAC Championships.

Wasky, a computer science and cybersecurity major, boasts a 3.64 GPA. He was a member of the 400 medley relay team at the conference meet.

Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First, second and third team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on April 24.
