Strong Finish At Wooster Invitational For Tiger Swimming & Diving

Jon Wasky was among the Tigers' point-scorers on the final day of the Wooster Invitational.

Wooster, Ohio - Seven personal-best times and multiple performances that are destined to the program record books provided plenty of highlights on the final day of the Wooster Invitational.

Wittenberg's women placed eighth in the 10-team field, which included multiple scholarship programs, while the men took ninth.

Leading the charge for the women was sophomore Shania Stone (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton). She placed fifth in the 100 Free with a time of 53.24, the fourth-fastest time in program history.

Freshman Sophie Paskiet (Toledo, Ohio/St. Ursula) rounded out her strong weekend with a personal-best time in the 200 Breast with a time of 2:27.88. That time ranks sixth in program history, coming on the heels of her time of 1:08.37 in the 100 Breast that ranks eighth all-time.

Rounding out the top scoring women's swimmers, senior Mackenzie Schuld (Rocky River, Ohio/Rocky River) took fourth place in the 200 Fly with a time of 2:18.55.

The top finisher for Wittenberg's men was senior Zach Parkman (Lancaster, Ohio/Fisher Catholic). He turned in a time of 1:57.64 in the 200 Fly to finish in 10th place. Sophomore Mason Steen (Leroy, Ohio/Riverside) finished 21st in the 100 Free and sophomore Jon Wasky (Kettering, Ohio/Fairmont) took 24th in the 200 Back.

Finally, freshman Drew Lazar (Ocala, Florida/West Port) earned 24th place in the 1650 Free with a time of 20:55.13. It was his first competitive race in the event.
