Multiple Personal Bests Leads To Tiger Win Over Bluffton

Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg swim team defeated Bluffton University in their first of two back-to-back dual meets on the weekend. The men's squad picked up the win, 92-29, over the Beavers. On the women's side, the Tigers earned a 63-24 win. The evening included 13 event wins across the board for the Tigers, including six personal bests.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

  • Quaid O'Brien took the top spot in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:00.65. O'Brien would set a new personal best in the 100 backstroke, taking second-place in a time of 1:08.24.
  • Mason Steen claimed a first-place win for the Tigers in the 200-IM, along with a personal best, touching the wall in a time of 2:09.52. Steen also captured the top spot in the 500 (5:24.29) and 100 breaststroke (1:08.48).
  • Mackenzie Schuld earned a first-place finish with a new personal best in the 100-yard breaststroke, clocking a time of 1:21.93.
  • Mckenna Clark earned her first collegiate win in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing in a time of 27.72. Clark was back on top for her second win of the evening in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing in a time of 1:00.95.
  • Drew Vincent saw multiple personal bests on the night, including the 200 freestyle (2.02.30), 500 freestyle (5:51.30), and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.36).
