Springfield, Ohio - The highlights were relatively few for the Tiger swimming & diving teams against perennial powerhouse DePauw on Saturday. Shining brightly, however, was the performance of sophomore Adeline Brym (Mansfield, Ohio/Lexington), who put away three races for the women. The men fell to the DePauw Tigers by a score of 206-93, while the women lost by a score of 171.5-124.5.
Brym won the 200-yard freestyle, 500-yard freestyle, and 200-yard IM to lead the women. Also strong was freshman diver Megan Shubitowski (Columbus, Ohio/Watterson), who won both the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions.
The men picked up several individual wins. Sophomore Neil Anderson (Lakewood, Ohio/Lakewood) brought home first place in the 1000-yard freestyle, 200-yard butterfly and 500-yard freestyle. Matt Erenpreiss (Columbus, Ohio/Centennial) joined the fun with a first-place finish in men's 1-meter diving.
The Tigers dropped to 2-1 on the women's side and 1-2 on the men's in the early going of the 2007-08 dual meet season. The men travel to Wabash on Friday, and the women will join the men's team again on Nov. 16 to host Ohio Northern.
