Kees Ciric Earns Second-Team All-NCAC Men's Soccer Honors

CLEVELAND, OH - Senior midfielder Kees Ciric (Loveland, OH / Loveland) was the lone member of Wittenberg’s Men’s Soccer team to earn a postseason award from the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC). He was named second-team All-NCAC.

Ciric, who was named third-team All-NCAC both his sophomore and junior years, led Wittenberg this season with eight goals, four assists, and 20 total points. Two of his goals were game-winners. He started all 14 of Wittenberg’s matches and took a team-high 43 shots this season, including 22 on goal (also a team-high). He was 2-for-2 on penalty kicks.

The Tigers finished 4-7-3 overall this season and 2-4-2 in the NCAC, good for a sixth-place finish. Wittenberg scored 21 goals in 14 games on the season. As a team, the Tigers tallied 186 shots, 79 on goal, 12 assists, 68 corner kicks, and went three for four in penalty shots. Defensively, the Tigers finished with two shutouts.

Denison, which tied Ohio Wesleyan for first place in the NCAC with a record of 6-0-2, led the way in this year’s NCAC postseason awards with Jake Krueger named Offensive Player of the year and teammate Kameron Kist named Midfielder of the Year. Denison was also named the Coaching Staff of the Year. Brady West of Ohio Wesleyan was named Defensive Player of the Year and Kenyon’s Justin Buchwalter was Newcomer of the Year.
