Wooster, OH- Wittenberg Men's Soccer tallied its first conference victory of the season Sunday afternoon as the Tigers were in command of the College of Wooster Fighting Scots on the road, earning a resounding 4-0 win. The victory improves Wittenberg's record to 3-3-2 on the season and 1-0-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference, while handing Wooster its fifth overall loss and first conference defeat.

The Tigers found the back of the net early, as sophomore Collin LaVeck (Carroll, OH/Bloom-Carroll) scored his second goal of the season just three minutes into action off a double-assist from junior Ryan Shindeldecker (Findlay, OH/Findlay) and senior Kees Ciric (Loveland, OH/Loveland).

Ciric was involved in all aspects of Wittenberg's offensive attack throughout the match, as midway through the first half he increased the Tigers lead to 2-0 with an unassisted goal.

Wittenberg took the two-goal advantage into the break, and the TIgers maintained that lead until senior Josh Pawlicki (Toledo, OH/Sylvania-Southview) scored the third goal of the game and his first of the season off an assist from senior Marcus Orton (Knoxville, TN/Web School of Knoxville).

With less than nine minutes remaining in the game, Ciric sealed the win for Wittenberg as he found the back of the net again, scoring his second goal of the game.

Defensively, sophomore goalkeeper Peter Adams (Columbus, OH/Hilliard Darby) tallied his first shutout of the season and complete match win. He recorded eight saves, defending 17 shots and four corner kicks.

The Tigers have a quick turnaround as they host conference foe DePauw on Tuesday, October 15. The match is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff at Edwards-Maurer Field in Springfield.
