Tigers Score Late Goal in Shutout Win

Springfield, OH -- The Tigers had a matchup against the Earlham Quakers and came out of a tough defensive battle with a 1-0 win. The Tigers had 21 to Earlham's one and were able to come away with an advantage in corner kicks as well, 11-2. 

Throughout the first half, neither team scored, as Wittenberg had 9 shots but were unable to capitalize, while also holding Earlham to zero shots. In the second half, they had another 12 chances, and Marcus Orton found the back of the net on a rebound in front of the Earlham keeper in the 83rd minute. 

At the end of the match, Kees Ciric and Nick Harding led the team with four shots. Ciric, Harding, Cameron Elliott, Marcus Orton, and Jack Pascoal finished with 2 shots on goal for each of them. In goal, Peter Adams only had to save one shot on goal against him and came away with the win.
