Tigers Continue Winning Ways on the Road at Anderson

Anderson, IN -- The Wittenberg Tigers traveled out to Anderson University to take on the Ravens where they finished the game winning, 4-3. Each team took fifteen shots, with the Tigers being able to capitalize on one more. Peter Adams saved 5 of eight shots on goal while the Anderson keeper saved 3 of 7.

Less than a minute into the game, Kees Ciric scored the first goal of the game, assisted by Nick Harding. That was the only goal scored in the first half, so the Tigers went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, Christopher Meyer put one in during the 60th minute. The Ravens answered with a goal of their own before Meyer scored his second in the 71st minute, with another assist from Harding. Anderson answered again before Ciric scored his second at 85 minutes. Anderson ended with a penalty kick scored in the 90th minute for the final score to be 4-3 in the Tigers' favor.

Wittenberg is playing their next match at Manchester College on Saturday, September 9th at 3:00.
