Winning Streak Continues for Tigers on Road

Tiffin, OH- Wittenberg headed to Heidelberg for a final non-conference match-up before gearing up for all NCAC play in October. The Tigers who were on a five game win streak were able to continue with a 2-0 take down of the student princes of Heidelberg. The Tigers were able to score in the 27th and 40th minute to take the upper hand heading into the half with a goal from Josh Pawlicki and Andres Mujica.

Leaders: Wittenberg was led by midfielder, Pawlicki and forward, Mujica with one goal each. Assisting on the first goal of the game was Lukas Lindberg with his first of the year. As a team, Wittenberg led in shots on the day with 25 and corner kicks with 8. Splitting time in goal were Sam Nitzberg and Cooper Robertson with one save each.

NCAC Leaders: Kees Ciric lands in the top ten for goals scored in the NCAC at number seven with five on the season. Ciric also sits in the top ten for shots on goal at number ten and number seven for points with 12 points on the season. Defensively, Sam Nitzberg sits at number two in the conference for shutouts and number three for saves with 34 on the season.
