Allegheny Wins 2006 NCAC Men's Golf Championships

Allegheny College rallied from a five-stroke deficit in the final round to capture the 2006 North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship at Windy Knoll Golf Club in Springfield, Ohio. The Gators used a final-round 294 in the 54-hole competition to overtake four-time defending champion Ohio Wesleyan University, which carded a 304 in the third round. Final Results

IMPORTANT NOTE: The format for this year's tournament was 18 + 9 + 9 + 18 = 54 holes, and the scores were entered as such. The scores of each round in a golf tournament are based on the four best scores for each team in that round - and the two nine-hole rounds are entered separately in this case. That means that a lowest score for five of the nine teams was discarded from one of those nine-hole "rounds" that actually wasn't the lowest based on a full 18 holes.
