Tigers Net Largest Conference Score Differential Under Gainsford

Springfield, OH- Wittenberg returned to Edwards-Maurer Field to compete in their second conference game of the season. With a win over Wooster in September, the Tigers looked to keep a perfect conference record. After a 5-0 score the Red & White came away with their sixth victory of the season, and fourth win in a row. The 5-0 win is the program's largest score differential in a conference game under Head Coach, Bronwen Gainsford, with their largest score differential prior being back in Gainsford's first season against Oberlin again, with a 4-1 score.

Wittenberg had five different individuals score with two more Tiger's adding assists on the day. Victoria Pipinich tabbed the Red & White's first goal of the game unassisted to head into halftime with a 1-0 lead. Getting on the board in the third quarter were Caroline Cairns, assisted by Regan Mazulli, and Meredith Johnson to take a 3-0 lead. Lucy Ripepi snuck through the post to give the Tigers their fourth point and scoring her first collegiate goal was Ryleigh Bavineau, assisted by Morgan Myers.

NCAC Leaders: Regan Mazzulli sits at number seven in the NCAC for shots taken with a total of 31 followed by Caroline Cairns at number ten with 25. Mazzulli is also number ten for shots on goal with 18. Katie Webber sits in the top ten for goals in the NCAC at number seven with five on the season. Mazzulli land Webber and in the top ten for points on the year at number six and eight. Lastly for Wittenberg, Caitlin Archdeacon sits at number two for save percentage in the conference with .862 and number three for saves with 50 on the season.
