Ford Tallies Lone Goal in Win Over Yeowomen

Oberlin, OH- Wittenberg hit the road to compete against the Yeowomen of Oberlin in a non-conference match-up. The Tigers who were coming off of a close loss against Ohio Wesleyan looked to turn things around and were able to improve to a 3-4 record after a 1-0 win today.

Wittenberg held the Yeowomen in the first quarter before getting on the board in the second with a goal from Caroline Ford, assisted by Lucy Ripepi. The Red & White were able to get 11 more shots off on goal from Meredith Johnson, Ford, Devyn Groves, Regan Mazzulli, Ripepi, and Katie Webber throughout the game but unable to hit the back of the cage.

NCAC Leaders: Caroline Cairns sits at number ten in the NCAC for shots taken with a total of 16. Katie Webber sits in the top ten for goals in the NCAC at number six with five on the season and number ten for shots on goal with 12. Also in the top ten for goals is Mazzulli at number nine with four. After an overtime goal against DePauw, Mazzulli lands in the top 10 for game-winning goals. Mazzulli and Webber also land in the top ten for points on the year at number four and six along with Meredith Johnson at ten. Lastly for Wittenberg, Caitlin Archdeacon sits at number two for saves in the conference with 41 on the season.
