Robert Landers joined the Wittenberg Football coaching staff prior to the 2023 season. He coaches the defensive line, the same position he played at Wayne High School in nearby Huber Heights, Ohio, and later at The Ohio State University.
A 2019 graduate of Ohio State, Landers appeared in 13 games in each of his four seasons while playing for the Buckeyes from 2016-19 after a red-shirt season in 2015 (he played in 2019 as a graduate student). Landers recorded 65 total tackles, including 24 tackles for loss, over those four seasons, and he had two fumble recoveries.
