Nine Tigers Earn 2024 All-NCAC Football Awards

CLEVELAND, OH - After posting records of 6-4 overall and 5-3 in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC), Wittenberg placed nine players on the 2024 All-NCAC honor roll, announced by the league office on December 2.

Sophomore defensive lineman Dalton Allen (Delaware, OH/Hayes) was the Tigers' lone representative on the first team after he led Wittenberg and the NCAC in solo sacks (8) and total sacks (9.5).

Seven Tigers were selected to the second team. From the offense, junior wide receiver Eric Rasheed (Fletcher, NC/Hendersonville) was rewarded for his stellar inaugural season in the Red & White as the Tigers' leading receiver, senior tight end Troy Teepe (Brookville, IN/East Central) was recognized after he caught 33 passes, including four touchdowns that ran his career total to a program-record 14, and senior offensive linemen Angel Bravo (Esparto, CA/Orland) and Wyatt Osterhage (Dayton, OH/Centerville) were honored for their work helping to clear the way for an offense that averaged 33.5 points per game (second in the NCAC).

From the defense, the Wittenberg second-team selections were senior linebacker Cameron Snurr (Springboro, OH/Springboro), the team's second-leading tackler with 78 stops on the season (45 solo), junior defensive lineman Eli Renick (Sarasota, FL/Riverview), who ranked second to Allen in sacks and tackles for loss on the season, and junior safety Luke Jackson (DeGraff, OH/Indian Lake), who was among the team leaders in tackles (71), interceptions (2), and pass break-ups (4).

Rounding things out, sophomore Tyre Smith (Sarasota, FL/Riverview) was chosen to the third team after leading the Tigers in tackles for a second straight season.

The 2024 season was Wittenberg's third under the direction of Head Coach Jim Collins '88, who has a record of 18-12 leading the Tigers and a 28-year record as a head coach of 153-145, including stops at Dubuque, Capital, and Saginaw Valley State before Wittenberg.
