Coach McKee joined the Tigers' baseball staff prior to the 2022 season. He works primarily with the team’s infielders.

McKee was born in Springfield, Ohio, and graduated from Kenton Ridge High School in 1989. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and spent four years at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota as an Air Rescue Firefighter. After his active duty tour, McKee joined the Sioux Falls Fire Department, and he also served in the South Dakota Air National Guard. Since 2000, he has been a Lieutenant Firefighter at Rickenbacker ANG Fire Department in Columbus, Ohio.

McKee spent six seasons as an assistant coach at Groveport Madison High School (2013-2018) before becoming head coach in 2019. In three seasons as head coach at Groveport Madison, his teams earned a sectional championship (2019).

McKee currently lives in Columbus, Ohio, with his wife Stacey. They have two children, Jessica and Tyler.
