Baseball picked to finish second in NCAC preseason poll

CLEVELAND, OH — The Wittenberg baseball team was picked to finish second in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) in the 2025 Preseason Coaches' Poll, which was released Wednesday, February 12.
The Tigers received one first-place vote and 72 points. Denison was picked as the conference favorite with eight first-place votes and 80 points. Kenyon and Wabash were tied for third with 55 points each.
Wittenberg finished 26-17 overall and tied Denison for first place in the NCAC with a 13-3 mark in 2024. The Tigers were the runner-up in the 2024 NCAC Tournament for a second straight season.
Led by interim head coach Mitchell Griffiths, the Tigers are scheduled to open their 2025 season with a three-game set at Centre on February 15-16, followed by a road trip to Bethany (WV) to play games against Bethany and Fredonia on February 22. Wittenberg's home opener is scheduled for Saturday, March 22, with a doubleheader against Adrian, and the Tigers will open NCAC play on Saturday, March 29, with a doubleheader at DePauw. (Update - the Centre series has been canceled)
The 2025 NCAC Tournament is scheduled for May 8-11 at V.A. Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe, Ohio.
