O'Malley Claims a Pair of All-Region Honors for Tiger Baseball

Springfield, OH – As the Wittenberg Tiger Baseball team completed one of their most prolific seasons in program history, Conor O'Malley, the junior outfielder, collected both d3baseball.com and ABCA Rawlings All-Region honors.

O'Malley logged the fourth-highest batting average at .368, with over 100 at-bats on the season for the Tigers. Compiling a slashline of .368/.500/.564, O'Malley led the Tiger effort with six home runs on the season, adding 14 doubles with 60 hits, while driving in a team-high 55 RBI.

The Cleveland, Ohio native put together hitting-streaks of seven, eight and 11 games throughout the season. O'Malley would put together 20 multi-hit games on the season, with three perfect days at the plate, including a 5-for-5 day in the series opener against Ohio Wesleyan.

O'Malley is the second Tiger to earn both d3baseball.com and ABCA All-Region honors under Head Coach Brian McGee. Coach McGee's list of d3baseball.com All-Region award winners now includes, Jack Hollinshead (C, 2021), Austin Luther (SP, 2022), and O'Malley (OF, 2023).

Wittenberg made their second consecutive North Coast Athletic Conference, advancing all the way to the championship game. The Tigers compiled an overall record of 32-10 and 14-2 in NCAC action.
