Chillicothe, OH – The Wittenberg Tiger Baseball Team battled the elements on day two of the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament. Wittenberg fell in their winner's bracket game against top seeded and nationally ranked No. 11 Denison University, 10-4, to start the day. The Tigers weathered the storm and awaited the winner of the Wooster/Wabash game, eventually facing the College of Wooster for the second time in two days.

Wittenberg would take an early lead in their elimination game against the Fighting Scots, 11-5, before the first rain delay would come into play. After letting the rain subside and the field conditions improve, the Tigers returned to the field at 11:50 PM midway through the fifth inning. Wittenberg would plate one run in the bottom half of the inning before one more rain delay put a pause to the action on the evening. The Tigers held the Scots scoreless in the sixth and seventh, while adding one run in the seventh and two in the eighth, making it a 15-6 Wittenberg advantage after eight innings. Wooster would plate three runs in the ninth inning, putting their best comeback effort together.

Wittenberg went to Nate Floyd for the start in the elimination game against the Scots. Floyd put in 4.2 innings of work, allowing six hits with eight strikeouts. Justin Maynard secured the win for Wittenberg, improving to 3-0 on the season. Maynard tossed the remaining 4.1 innings, striking out three with six hits allowed.
