Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg Tiger Baseball team tallied another win onto their now eight-game win streak, with a 7-1 defeat of the Wilmington College Quakers.

After a scoreless first inning, Wittenberg posted one run in both the second and third innings. The fourth innings was the highest offensive output of the night as three Tiger runs came across home. The Wittenberg rally wasn't over, adding one more run in each the fifth and sixth inning.

Conor O'Malley capped off the Wittenberg scoring in the bottom of the sixth with his fourth long ball of the season, over the fence in right center, to make it a 7-0 game.

Four Tigers posted double-digit hits on the night, including Michael Bronowski (2 for 3), Matt Moore (2 for 4), Rocco Royer (2 for 3) and Luke Thomas (2 for 3). Wittenberg was aggressive on the bases, swiping 7 bags on eight attempts.

Wittenberg relied on a stable of first-year arms, with Andrew Rust picking up his first win in a Tiger uniform. Rust went six innings pitched with five hits allowed and no runs. Tommy Chilicki, Alex Nemunaitis and Connor Goss each appeared for one inning of work to close out the game.
