Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg Tiger baseball team suffered a tough 7-2 loss on their home field against Heidelberg College. Wittenberg put together 10 hits to Heidelberg's eight on the night, though four errors on the defensive side would leave the door open for the visiting team. Three Tigers tallied multiple hits on the night, including Gabe Stacy, Conor O'Malley and Ben Seibert. O'Malley and Seibert would each log a double for the Tiger offense.

Wittenberg would be the first to strike, plating their first run during their first at-bat. Matt Moore drove in Stacy with an RBI single to right. The two sides would post zeros from the second through the fifth inning. Heidelberg took the lead in the top of the sixth, plating two runs. Heidelberg added five more to their tally in the top half of the seventh, making it a 7-1 ballgame. Stacy plated the final Tiger run in the bottom of the seventh with a single to right, scoring Seibert.
