Wittenberg Baseball Sends Off Senior Class

Justin Bargar, an Outfielder for the Tigers, played in 41 games during his Wittenberg career. Bargar served as a key defensive outfielder over his entire four-year career as a Tiger. 

 

Chase Carpenter, a third baseman for the Tigers, appeared in 44 games during his Wittenberg career. Carpenter sported an impressive .376 on-base percentage during his time in a Tiger uniform. 

  

Aaron Fasano, a third baseman, wraps up his career playing in 42 games. Fasano finished his career with a very impressive final game, hitting 2 doubles while adding an RBI and a run scored during the team's final game of the 2020 season. Fasano also served as a Relief Pitcher over his career as a Tiger, sporting a 3.48 ERA over seven appearances his Sophomore season. Fasano made 14 appearances on the mound over his career, finishing with 16 strikeouts over 17.1 innings pitched. 

  

Michael Flynn IV 

Michael Flynn IV, a middle infielder for the Tigers, appeared in 27 games at Wittenberg. Flynn finished his career as a Tiger in grand fashion, hitting a 3-run home run in the team's final game of the 2020 campaign. 

  

Andrew Hammond, a Catcher for the Tigers, finishes his career with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. Hammond was the recipient of the 2019 Red Maurer Award. The Red Maurer Award is a Wittenberg Baseball Team Award given out each year to the player who most exemplifies what it means to be a Wittenberg Tiger. Hammond was presented this award for many reasons including his selflessness, loyalty, commitment, and team-first mentality. 

  

Patrick Kenny has been a four-year starter and has compiled a very impressive career over his four years in a Tiger uniform. Kenny has been a model of consistency for high-level play and production over his entire career. Kenny, named a team captain his senior year, finishes his Wittenberg career with an impressive .340 batting average, 144 hits, 85 runs scored, 28 doubles, 7 home runs, and 88 RBI over 112 games played. Kenny is tied for 8th in program history in at-bats in a single season with 155 in 2018. 

  

Adam Mays finishes his Wittenberg career as one of the most successful Closers in program history. Mays finishes tied for 3rd in program history in Saves in a single season with 4 in 2019 and tied for 4th in career Saves with 5. Mays enjoyed a very successful Junior season that included 5 Wins, 4 Saves, and a 3.18 ERA in 17 appearances. For his impressive season, Mays was named the team's Pitcher of the Year. Named a team captain his senior year, Mays finishes his career with 69.2 Innings Pitched, 56 Strikeouts, 6 Wins, and 5 Saves over 35 Appearances. 

  

Jacob Muhleman, a right-handed pitcher, served as a reliever for the Tigers over his four-years. Muhleman made 14 appearances during his Wittenberg career. He got the start on the mound in the final game of the 2020 season for the Tigers, going 4 innings in the outing. 

   

Ryan Probst, a four-year starter, has patrolled the middle infield the past four seasons for the Tigers.  Probst, named a team captain his senior year, wraps-up his career in a Tiger uniform with a .289 batting average, 100 hits, 65 runs scored, 12 doubles, and 70 RBI in 101 games played. Probst impressive career has led him to find his name in the Wittenberg record book numerous times. Probst finishes tied for 4th in career sacrifices with 20, tied for 7th in career Sac Hits with 13 and Sac Hits in a single season with 6 in 2017, and 10th in career assists with 264. 

    

Andrew Shanor served as a 1st baseman over his four years in a Wittenberg uniform. Shanor appeared in 24 games and wrapped up his career as a Tiger with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
