Wittenberg Baseball Renews Partnership With My Inner Warrior For 2019 Season

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Wittenberg University baseball team has partnered with the My Inner Warrior Foundation again for the 2019 season.

According to the foundation's website, My Inner Warrior "aims to provide greater opportunity throughout inner-city baseball programs … such as providing new equipment and recruiting opportunities."

With a goal of $10,000, proceeds from the 2019 season will benefit the Cleveland Baseball Federation to create new opportunities for inner-city baseball players to be seen to play baseball at the next level.

The foundation was created by Sophomore Jack Hollinshead, who is currently a catcher for the Tiger Baseball team. When asked about the foundation and his overall purpose, he said, "If I can provide a portion of the great opportunities I was given growing up from my parents, my coaches, and my trainers, then I know that there will be many baseball players who can move on to play at the next level."

The foundation, which was founded in September of 2016, has raised over $25,000. AJack says, "By the time I'm ready to graduate from Wittenberg, I want to be able to name players who are playing at the next level because of My Inner Warrior."

Jack is not alone in his mission with My Inner Warrior, as he is joined by teammates, Jack Siefert (Director of Development) and David Hamrick (Financial Adviser). In addition, the Executive team consists of Luke Razzante (Baldwin Wallace University) and Chloey DiBartolo (Bowling Green State University).

Baldwin Wallace University and Oberlin College baseball have also partnered with My Inner Warrior this season along with teams from Mayfield High School, St. Edward High School and Mentor High School.
