COLUMUMBUS, Ohio—Wittenberg took advantage of their final non-conference game before opening up NCAC play over the weekend. The Tigers came out strong, scoring seven runs in the first two innings against OAC foe Capital, as the red and white didn't look back, dropping the Crusaders 9-6.

  • Sophomore utility man Brad Malott grounded out to open up the scoring in the top of the second, plating Ryan Probst.
  • Kaplan followed up with a base-hit to center field, scoring Baker on the play.

  • Bates was not done at the plate just yet for the Tigers, as the junior laced his second hit of the game to center field, scoring Kaplan.
