The College of Wooster captured the 2006 North Coast Athletic Conference with two hard-fought victories over Ohio Wesleyan University. The Scots, who have won an NCAC-best 11 conference titles, followed up Thursday's 11-8 win with a 9-8 victory on Friday. Wooster has won the last three championships and four of the last five, and the Scots, led by NCAC Tournament MVP Rob Romick, earned the NCAC's automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament, which begins Wednesday, May 17.

The Scots, the NCAC East Division champions with a 15-1 record, are now 38-7 overall. Ohio Wesleyan finished its season with a 26-14 overall record after capturing the top spot in the NCAC West with a 13-3 record. Wooster advanced to the championship series with a home series win over Wittenberg last weekend, while the Bishops moved into the final round with a sweep of Kenyon a week ago.
