Wittenberg Baseball Tournament Features Seven Top Teams This Weekend

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — There may still be a chill in the air, but Wittenberg University's "Boys of Spring" are back on the diamond this weekend as hosts of the 2005 Wittenberg Baseball Tournament. Nine games will be played alternately at Carleton Davidson Stadium and the nearby annex field Saturday and Sunday.

Wittenberg, off to a 6-3 start to the 2005 season after a week in Florida and an 8-7 home loss Wednesday against Ohio Northern, will be joined by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Hiram College, Mount Union College, Albion College, Myers College and John Carroll University.

On Saturday, the host Tigers and Albion square off at 1 p.m. at Carleton Davidson Stadium, while Myers and John Carroll play at the same time across the parking lot on the annex field.
