| 2024 NCAC Cross Country Championships Preview |
CLEVELAND, OH - Wittenberg University's men's cross country team has been picked to finish second and the women's cross country team has been picked to finish third in the 2024 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championships, which will take place on Sunday, November 3, at LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Indiana.
The women’s 6,000-meter race will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by the men’s 8,000-meter race at 12:15 p.m. DePauw is serving as the host for the championships.
Based on pre-championship balloting by league coaches, Oberlin's men were tabbed as the favorites to win the title after receiving four first-place votes and 72 total points to narrowly edge out Wittenberg with four first-place votes and 71 points. DePauw was tabbed third with 66 points, while Wabash took fourth with 53 points and the final first-place vote.
The DePauw women earned six first-place votes and 62 points to take the top spot in the pre-event poll. Ohio Wesleyan are second with two first-place votes and 57 points overall, followed by Wittenberg, the two-time defending conference champion, with total 49 points.
