Rachel Ross

NCAC — Softball, Pitcher (March 17, 2014)

Wittenberg senior pitcher Rachel Ross (Westerville, Ohio/South) dominated opposing hitters to win seven games and lose none in the Tigers’ 9-1 spring break trip to Florida. She limited 25th-ranked Ithaca to five hits and two runs in a complete-game victory, and finished the week with an ERA of 1.12 and a batting-average-against of just .174 in 37.1 innings.

Ashlee Wright

NCAC — Softball, Player (March 17, 2014)

Wittenberg junior Ashlee Wright (Kettering, Ohio/Fairmont) leapt into contention for the Tigers’ season and career home run records with four dingers over the team’s 9-1 Spring Break trip, the best start in program history. Wright drove in a team-best 13 runs while posting an .871 slugging percentage on the way to climbing into second place in the season record for home runs and third in the career record (8).

John Chaney

NCAC — Men's Golf (March 17, 2014)

Wittenberg junior John Chaney (Gates Mills, Ohio/Gilmour) helped guide the top-ranked Tigers to a fourth-place finish at OWU’s Taylormade-Adidas Intercollegiate in Dataw Island, South Carolina. Chaney finished in a tie for fourth individually with a 54-hole score of 221 (73-76-72), while the team finished the event fourth overall with 923 strokes (305-312-306).
