Noah Moran, J.D., who served as the interim head coach of the men’s & women’s swimming & diving program’s at Wittenberg for the 2018-19 season, has officially been named as the program’s next head coach, as announced by Vice President & Director of Athletics, Dr. Gary Williams, on Monday, April 1st.

After the final night of competition at the 2019 NCAC Swimming & Diving Championships at Denison University’s Trumbull Aquatics Center, the Wittenberg University women’s team finished eighth overall in the team standings with 477 total points, while the men’s squad placed ninth with a combined score of 449 points.

Freshman Benjamin Hongell and junior Annelise Gibson paced the Wittenberg University men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams, respectively, on the third day of competition at the 2019 NCAC Swimming & Diving Championships at Denison University’s Trumbull Aquatics Center.

The Wittenberg University swimming & diving program competes in the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, Feb 13-16 from Denison University!

- Following three total events on night one action at the 2019 NCAC Swimming & Diving Championships, the Wittenberg University Swimming & Diving programs both picked up key points in the team standings.

The Wittenberg University swimming & diving teams opened the night by celebrating the careers of its three senior athletes, and put the icing on the cake for the celebration by night’s end with a pair of wins over the Hiram College Terriers. The men’s team posted a 126-46 victory over Hiram, while the women’s team topped the Terriers by a 119-41 margin.

Fueled by 17 total individual event titles and several season-best swims, the Wittenberg University men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams split a dual meet at Anderson University on Friday night, with the men picking up a 126-84 victory over the Ravens and the women dropping a 140-102 decision against AU.

The Wittenberg University men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams opened the home portion of their 2019 schedule with a double-dual meet against NCAA Div. I member Indiana State and NAIA member The University of the Cumberlands. The women’s team dropped both ends of the dual, falling to Cumberlands, 190-74, and Indiana State, 247-41, while the men’s dropped a 170.50-87.50 decision against the Cumberlands men team.

The Wittenberg University men’s and women’s swimming & diving squads wrapped up competition on Sunday at the University of Kentucky’s Lancaster Aquatic Center with a pair of strong team finishes at the annual Transylvania Invitational.

The Wittenberg University men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams combined for a 2-2 record on Saturday (11/17) afternoon in an NCAC double-dual meet against Oberlin and Wooster at Oberlin College’s recently renovated Carr Pool. Both teams picked up close victories over host Oberlin, with the men securing a 132-110 victory over the Yeomen and the women picking up a 139-117 win over the Yeowomen. However, the College of Wooster dominated the afternoon in the pool, earning a 208-70 win over Wittenberg in the men’s competition and a 203-76 triumph over the women’s squad.

The Wittenberg University swimming & diving teams continued action on Friday night with a non-conference dual meet at Ohio Northern University. The Tigers dropped both ends of the dual meet with the women dropping a 135-88 decision against the Polar Bears and the men suffering a 141-82 defeat against ONU.

The Wittenberg University men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams combined for a 2-2 record on Saturday afternoon in a double-dual meet versus Wilmington and Transylvania in southern Ohio. The women’s team dropped a 130-120 decision against Wilmington and also suffered a 136-102 setback against Transylvania.
