Halverson Claims MCVL Rookie of the Year & Nathan Matthews Earns Coach of the Year Accolades

MCVL, U.S.A. -- The 2023 All-Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League team as selected by the nine head coaches was announced today.

 Notes

• History was made this year as three teams shared the league championship; Baldwin Wallace, Mount Union, and Wittenberg all earned MCVL hardware.
• Trine's Hunter Haas is now a three-time first team All-MCVL selection and a three-time Defensive Player of the Year.
• Mount Union's Cameron Ternent is now a two-time first-team all-league choice and is the first UMU player to win an MCVL individual award.
• Michael Beard of Baldwin Wallace, twice chosen second team, made the jump to the first unit this year.
• Haas and Lively were individual award-winners last year with the former the Defensive Player of the Year and the latter the Rookie of the Year.
• Twelve of the 16 all-league honorees will be in action at this weekend's MCVL tournament, which will be hosted by top-seeded Mount Union.
